(i) So psyched that MUSCLES OF JOY have agreed to open up CALVIN JOHNSON‘s Glasgow show on August 3rd. My new favourite band and my old favourite band. I’ve still to confirm venues for that and the Edinburgh show on Aug 4th….. that info should follow in the next week or two.

(ii) Thanks are due to the SCOTTISH ARTS COUNCIL YOUNG SCOT ACTION FUND who have awarded Tracer Trails & The Gentle Invasion (Gentle Trails!) a contribution towards the costs of presenting RETREAT! FESTIVAL 2010. This year our annual celebration of grassroots music-making will be taking place over the weekend of August 21st-22nd, somewhere in the CITY OF LEITH. Lineup t.b.a. very soon!

(iii) If you’re planning to attend the PEKKO KAPPI / ALASDAIR ROBERTS / GARY WEST concert on Wednesday, June 16th, please note that this will be taking place in the ROXY THEATRE rather than the ROXY ROOM. From the main door of Lady Glenorchy’s Church, go up the stairs instead of down the stairs and you’ll have no trouble locating this super-intimate black box theatre where all three will be playing 100% unplugged (Downsize Trails?).
